IGW's Industrial engineering & Product Quality Manager Tim Calliauw was looking for a smart way to reduce the administration within his teams.
For one of his departments, 'Process engineering', the engineers had to register for each finalized cnc-program specific information in several different business applications, taking up to 1,5 hours per program. A tedious task according to his engineers, but nevertheless a very important process as without it the production process cannot be initiated.

A combination of Automation Anywhere and Electron allowed us to custom build a bot offering 70% automation of the full admin-process.
Every evening the bot is scheduled to process all required administration for the finished CNC-programs. The bot registers key information in business applications like QAD & Windchill.
The automation resulted in more time for the engineers to do what they like most: building CNC programs. At the same time, it avoids human data entry issues and ensures smooth operations at the production-site.
