VCST's Smart Factory Business line Automotive manager Tim Polleunis needed to replace, due to an ERP transformation project, a legacy VB-tool which produced quality control documents for his engineers.

The mission was two-fold, fetching data from different business applications to produce quality control documents and enabling an integration towards their statistical software for production measurement analysis.
A combination of Python and Electron allowed us to build a tailormade bot integrated with business applications like Windchill, SAP and Q-DAS.

Each quality engineer can request on demand the required quality inspection information. The bot was built with global scope in mind offering a lexicon in Chinese, English, Dutch, French ... . The documents received a makeover to have a more professional look & feel.
Each engineer saves a substantial amount of time, as before the VBA tool was running on local workstations not allowing them to continue working on other tasks.
