The Supply Chain Director, Filip Toye and Customer Service Manager, Thierry Beernaert were in search for a smart and fast way to automate the transport cost calculation related to customer shipments.
The Logistics team was responsible to calculate for each shipment the related transport costs for its cross dock centers.
This process was lengthy and time-consuming as it needed a significant manual effort to firstly calculate the costs, followed by adding them to the appropriate shipment document in their ERP.

The transport cost bot automatically calculates transport costs based on shipment details such as distance, weight, and carrier tariffs. Seamlessly updates ERP in real-time, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date. Offering comprehensive reports on the bot performance, instantly sharing them with the relevant departments.
By automating the transport cost calculation process, we enabled Crop's to significantly reduce manual labor, improve accuracy, and gain greater insights into their shipping costs. This solution not only optimized their operational efficiency but also allowed their employees to focus on more impactful, value-adding activities within the business.
