The Supply Chain Director, Filip Toye and Purchase Manager Packaging, Michael Moock were in search for a smart and fast way to automate the Contract Packaging process.
Creating contracts for packaging materials in SAP was taking far too long. The biggest hurdle was figuring out the right purchase price, which depended on different volume groups and constantly changing supplier price lists. Teams spent a lot of time double-checking numbers, updating lists, and making sure everything matched.
All of this made building SAP contracts slow, repetitive, error prone and frustrating.

A combination of back-end and front-end automation was applied to tackle this automation challenge.
We built a bot to take over the entire process. Every week, it checks the order file, pulls in the right packaging details, applies the volume rules, and calculates the correct purchase price using the latest supplier data.
Once everything is verified, the bot creates the SAP contract automatically, always choosing the best possible price and discount.
